Keeping your house warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, Low-E Glass is a type of insulating glass that increases the energy efficiency of windows by reducing the transfer of heat or cold through the glass Low-e glass stands for low emissivity glass. This glass varies from normal clear glass in that one side of the glass has a special metal coating, technically known as a low emissity, or Low E. coating.
The Low-E glass that we use in the manufacturing of our units is SGG PLANITHERM TOTAL +, it is a revolutionary high performance low-E glass. It has been specifically developed for use in the UK market and has been optimized for Window Energy Ratings (WER’s) making it the most energy efficient glass available.
SGG PLANITHERM TOTAL + low-E glass is extremely versatile and can be used for the following applications:
Domestic: Windows & Skylights, Patio Doors, French doors and other external doors, conservatories and sun rooms.
Commercial: Facades/windows, curtain walling, structural glazing and overhead glazing.
